Apoplectic es una banda Pop Rock Alternativa originario de Surinam, ubicada en Sudamerica, que empezó su carrera en los 90’s , exactamente en el año de 1998, e inicio como una banda de preparatoria.
Apoplectic ha cambiado durante el tiempo en que se ha consolidado, pero la calidad de su música ha sido siempre la misma, manteniendo siempre esa esencia que los caracteriza.
La banda ha estado definiendo la música rock en Surinam, y continua haciéndolo. Esta banda ha abierto el camino para las diferentes bandas de rock local.
Integrantes de la banda:
Audrey – vocalista, Riezvi – guitarra y líder de la banda , Girish – guitarra, Chavelli – batería , Loelle – bajo.
En los primeros años de esta banda fueron realizados muchos intentos con diferentes vocalistas hasta que iniciaron un proyecto nuevo con Charbel Mekdessi. Después de su partida a los Países Bajos, la banda se acercó a Audrey Bakrude (vocalista) para darle un giro totalmente diferente , desde entonces ella ha sido vocalista del grupo. Con la voz única y brillante de Audrey, la banda tomo otro rumbo y se logro un género único, como ahora se conoce Apoplectic.
Surinam siempre ha sido un país multicultural , es por eso que las influencias musicales son muy diversas. Se pueden escuchar géneros muy variados desde Africanos, Latinos, indios y Asiáticos, también la corriente Rock y la música Reggae.

Nos gustaría seguir haciendo lo que amamos , que es hacer música, Apoplectic es un grupo reconocido en su país, ha llegado el momento para expandir nuestro talento en Latinoamérica. Ha sido un sueño durante tanto timpo que estamos seguros de que esto puede ser una realidad.
Apoplectic ha destacado en grandes eventos , en los cuales ha compartido escenario con musicos locales como Conchita Leeflang , Etienne Stadwijk, La tripulación RMX , entre otros.
Con el tiempo Apoplectic ha tenido varios exitos al aire con las emisoras de radio locales, incluyendo un número 1 hit.
